The school has really let us down and betrayed our trust last Friday our son was joking around and he said that he was going to kill himself and the teacher pulled him aside without a guidance counselor or principal and he thought he was getting in trouble so he was a little bit upset the teacher began questioning my son about his life at home and how he gets disciplined and if his dad hurts him oh my son was scared and upset and thought he was getting in trouble so he told the teacher that daddy plays too rough with him when we wrestle and that I bite his toes well the teacher took it upon herself not to follow protocol not to call a guidance counselor nor the principal failed to notify the parents no phone call no letter in his folder about his Behavior or what was said the only reason we found out about it was when DCF come knocking on her door the next morning at Saturday 9 in the morning with two bovey police officers so now we got a case open our house was searched our kids were interrogated one on one with a DCF officer and she quickly determined that our son was playing around and that he didn't mean it and he also said that he was playing around and didn't mean it when the teacher was asking him about this at school so let's say hypothetically that our son comes from a broken home with parents that don't care what he does what if he had all that time until the next day when the DCF lady showed up he could have really killed himself if you wanted to and no one notified us about it about what he was saying even though he was playing around the fact of the matter is that the teacher took it upon herself to make our life more harder than it already is and this particular teacher is very mean to most of the students in a classroom and she is always yelling at the students and my son don't have a problem in any of his other classes except for this class in fact all the other teachers have nothing but good things to say about my kid so now that we have made a big stink about it with the principal wondering why we weren't informed about this wondering why DCF was called before we even knew about the whole situation and now we get the run-around about how no paperwork was filled out no proper procedures were followed and we get a call Monday or Tuesday with the concern about our son wanting to kill himself and how they want to do a screen to see what his degree of wanting to kill himself is and they are so worried about it 4 days later I think they really have let my son down in this matter even though he was playing around and it was later on determined that he was by the DCF officer we should have had a call first we should have had a sit-down and we should have discussed what was going on before any phone calls were made and I understand that they got to do their job but there's a right way and a wrong way to handle things when a six-year-old kid says stuff like that you shouldn't either take it lightly more too seriously you should sit down and talk about it and figure out what is going on at the house before you go and try to make things harder on a family that already has it hard and struggling if this is happening to you or any similar incidences please write about it
